The «didactica» programme is intended for instructors and persons involved in teaching at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich at all levels. Its aim is to promote the development of comprehensive teaching proficiency at every stage of the academic career. Based on a model of the fields of activity in higher education, didactica courses cover the entire spectrum of higher education topics. Many courses, titled accordingly, address specific aspects of selected disciplines or certain target groups.
didactica courses are designed to last between half a day and two days. They not only provide new input, but also encourage the active processing and implementation of the knowledge gained. Here emphasis is laid on critical and discursive reflection and the application of acquired knowledge in participants’ own teaching.
didactica courses are free of charge for employees and matriculated doctoral students of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. Members of other Swiss universities may attend for a fee if a course is not fully booked.
Registrations are processed according to the date and time they are received, and receipt is confirmed by email. For more information regarding conditions of participation please see the website of ETH Zurich or the University of Zurich.
With your registration you commit yourself to attending the course in full. Cancellation after the cancellation deadline, unexcused absence, no-show or incomplete participation may incur a penalty. For more information please see the website of ETH Zurich or the University of Zurich.
We reserve the right to cancel courses with insufficient participant numbers, or to offer them in a different form.
Persons who complete a didactica course receive a confirmation of course attendance. Unless otherwise stated, no ECTS credits points are issued.
